Grundfos SCALA1 3-45 is a fully integrated, all-in-one, self-priming, compact waterworks designed for pressure boosting in domestic and light-commercial applications, such as garden irrigation or pressure boosting to one and two family houses and apartments.

As a self-priming pump, SCALA1 3-45 is able to pump water from a level below the pump. Provided it is filled with water, the pump can lift water from a depth of 8m in less than 5 minutes. This facilitates easy installation and start-up of the pump and provides more reliable water supply for installations where there is a risk of dry running and leakages in suction hose or pipes.

The SCALA1 3-45 can communicate with the Grundfos GO app via Bluetooth, allowing for detailed pump monitoring and high customization options, making the SCALA1 3-45 a great fit for every application from plumbing pressure boosting, residential groundwater intake, residential water pressure boosting, and residential rainwater harvesting.

Advanced protection features that are incorporated into the SCALA1 3-45 include:

• Dry running protection that automatically stops the pump in case of water shortage
• Cycling protection which will prevent pump starting frequently in case of minor leakages in installation
• Max runtime protection can stop the pump after a desired period of continuous operation, preventing potential damage due to flooding in case of pipe breakages.

With built-in motor protection that will stop the pump if exposed to excessive temperature due to high ambient temperature, in case of seizure or overload, your pump will be protected from motor burnout.

With the Grundfos GO app, you can easily set up SCALA1 3-45 as a Twin booster system, operating as a duty/standby as well as a duty/assist. Another option is to add external input control and schedule a pump operation via calendar function.

SCALA1 3-45 requires no maintenance, but it is recommended to keep the pump clean, check the non-return valves, and keep the ventilation holes free of dust.
